Sharing Monte das Louzeiras with RTP
Yesterday we had the pleasure of joining RTP’s Festa das Vindimas in Mértola, together with our friend and oenologist Jorge Rebocho.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share the story of Monte das Louzeiras, our vineyards and our passion for producing wine in the Alentejo — including our traditional Vinho da Talha.
Rooted in the Alentejo
At Monte das Louzeiras, wine begins with the land. Our vineyards grow among ancient olive trees in the landscape of the Alentejo, where the rhythm of the seasons still shapes the way we work.
Alongside our wines, we continue the tradition of Vinho da Talha — making wine in clay amphorae, a practice deeply rooted in the Alentejo. For us, preserving this tradition is not about looking back. It is about keeping it alive, sharing it and allowing our guests to experience where our wine truly comes from.
For us, wine is much more than what is inside the bottle. It is about the land, the people, the harvest, traditions passed from one generation to the next and the moments we share around a table.
It was a pleasure to share a little of the story and spirit of Monte das Louzeiras with RTP and its viewers.
